InnSouthAfrica offers Internet Exposure to the accommodation industry in South Africa, this is a free listing option for guesthouses B&Bs. Registered membership is also available which offers more advanced facilities.

Whats the difference ?

Unlike realtime bookings, internet-assisted bookings allow the establishment to make the final decision on the booking. This is also allows for negotiation and customization during the booking process without the hassle of committing or mismatching rooms to the wrong type of guest.

1. Internet assisted bookings allow both parties to communicate via the Web technology before a final
    decision is made on a booking.
2. Internet assisted bookings expose availability, but do not guarantee acceptance of a booking until the
    establishment confirms it.
3. Internet assisted bookings do not demand upfront payments (with large commissions added) before a
    provisional booking can be made.
4. Internet asisted bookings allow for negotiation and customization (the personal touch) during the booking
    process.
5. Internet asisted bookings may be slightly slower (about 2 minutes and who will notice) but far more reliable
    and trustworthy.

With realtime bookings you are committed to any bookings made across the internet, this means that potential guests can book themselves directly into any room for any available period. This has many downsides for the establishment.

Our reasons:

1. We feel the industry must keep its personal touch.
2. We want to reduce the risk of fraudulant transactions.
3. Search Google for ‘online booking beware’and see the consequences.
4. Realtime booking systems put you at a large risk when things are not synchronised (And we gaurantee that     they are not)
5. We don’t have to hide your contact information because we don’t charge commissions for bookings.
6. Booking a R10,000 – R20,000 holiday is slightly different to booking a R50 movie ticket online and one
    expects a higher level of service.
7. We have an inherant interest in the accommodation industry.
8. …and of course, we want to be, unique, exciting market leaders.

The advantage to your guest is that they only pay their deposit or fee when they receive confirmation from you. This prevents hassle with unavailability, fraud etc.

The advantage to the you is that:

You have the option to accept, reject or negotiate the booking before finalising it. You also have contact with the guest, thus preventing short stays in busy periods, overbooking, unwelcome guests and fraud.

You are not committing yourself to availability

You don’t upset potential customers who think they have a valid booking when you have not yet accepted it.


About Registered Membership

Registered InnSouthAfrica members get their own user-friendly page where they can edit their contact details, give a detailed writeup about their establishment, give details of their location, update any changes to their rates, describe the types of accommodation they offer, and upload or change images of their establishment with their own image manager.

The advantages of being a registered member:
  • We give you a Username and Password so that you can log onto the system anytime to change and update your information as you like.
  • You are allowed to add up to five images plus comments for the images to your listing
  • You are included to receive ‘InnRequest’ enquieries directly from guests
  • You have the option to take advantage of our exciting ‘Wildfire promotion’ if you are prepared to Offer a giveaway on your listing.
  • If you have LodgeControl, you can upload and expose your availability online for Internet assisted bookings.
  • You are entitled to a special rate for the LodgeControl reservation management software.
  • The cost to become a registered member is R32-00 per month or R300-00 per year
You are not committed in any way if you pay monthly. You may stop paying at any stage and we will revert you to an un-registered free listing with no obligation at all. We cannot refund any payments made.

'WildFire' GiveAway Promotion

Each establishment has an option to add their Giveaway promotion for a stipulated time period in their members page.

Basically the establishment will pose a question for participants to answer. The answer will be information available somewhere on the establishment's page, and could be something about their place. The question will be available alongside the establishment's listing, and will also include a short description of the giveaway. To enter, the participant will have to find the answer on the site and submit it. Advantages of this to the establishment is that it not only encourages more visitors to their page, but also generates an active interest in the establishment.
